One of the oldest and greatest cocktails ever made. Rye whiskey, sweet vermouth and bitters stirred to chilly perfection.

🧪 Ingredients

2 oz rye whiskey (or bourbon)
1 oz sweet vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters
maraschino cherry (garnish)
ice

🥄 Method

Combine rye whiskey, sweet vermouth and bitters in a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir for 30 seconds until very well chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
