A Whiskey Sour with a striking dry red wine float on top. The visual contrast of the ruby wine over the golden sour is spectacular.

🧪 Ingredients

2 oz rye whiskey
1 oz fresh lemon juice
3/4 oz simple syrup
1 egg white
1/2 oz full-bodied dry red wine (float)
lemon slice (garnish)
maraschino cherry (garnish)
ice

🥄 Method

Combine rye, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white in a shaker. Dry shake without ice for 15 seconds. Add ice and shake again hard. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube. Carefully float red wine over the back of a spoon on top. Garnish with a lemon slice and cherry.
