Nordic spiced wine punch with aquavit or brandy — served warm with almonds and raisins.
🧪 Ingredients
1 bottle red wine
4 oz aquavit or brandy
2 oz port or sherry
1 orange peel
6 cardamom pods
1 cinnamon stick
6 whole cloves
2 tbsp sugar
blanched almonds and raisins

🥄 Method
Combine wine, port, spices and orange peel in a saucepan. Heat gently 20 minutes. Do not boil. Add aquavit and sugar. Stir until dissolved. Strain into warm mugs. Add a few almonds and raisins to each mug.
🍽 Serve & Garnish
Warm mugs with almonds and raisins at the bottom.
