4 oz water or unsweetened iced tea

1. Muddle mint leaves with simple syrup gently — do not shred.
2. Pack a julep cup or glass tightly with crushed ice.
3. Add lemon juice, then pour over the mint syrup.
4. Top with cold water or iced tea.
5. Stir briskly until the cup frosts.
6. Garnish with an abundant mint bouquet.
